I should just start a new blog.

As it's a new year, I feel like I should start a new blog, but have you tried to start a blog lately? I don't know how I made this template the way I did, but I love it and haven't been able to recreate it quite the same. So instead of starting a new blog from scratch, I think I'll just actually start blogging again.

2015 was an Ok year. But it's over. So let's let it be.

2016!

I've kind of already decided my theme for 2016 is going to be learning/trying new things. 

And so far we've been doing pretty well! New Years Day, we had a bunch of friends over, and had a sushi/poker night. Keep in mind, none of us had ever made sushi before, so it was a big accomplishment for all of us. A pot of Miso soup, 5 rolls, and 4 pieces of Nigiri later,  It really was so fun! and our sushi wasn't even bad. 

We're keeping along with that theme, and today we're trying something new.

 Me cade had these with breakfast this morning, and after anticipating what both would taste like, neither of us were even close.

Relevant

I've decided to try blogging again.

You reach a point in your life where, social media is the only way people remember that;
a. you are, in fact, still alive
b. you are doing awesome things with your life
c. you also are doing as equally boring things with your life
d. you even have a life

I have reached that point and this is almost the only way my family knows what I'm up to.

So. I'm alive. And here's my most recent update.

I've started to work as a photographer at FotoFly. It's a Utah studio and I absolutely love it. But it has definitely taken me for a loop, and shaken my confidence. While a little nerve racking, I'm happy about it. I haven't been pushed out of my comfort zone this much in a while. And how can I ever grow and be better if I'm not being pushed? I am, however, looking forward to the day that I'm very good at what I do.

Also. I was recently reminded that I love to read. Yesterday to be exact. Cade is making me read a collection of H.P. Lovecraft's work. I mostly agreed to read the hunk of a book because Lovecraft's primary influence was Edgar Allan Poe. I love Poe. And so far I'm loving this book.

What good is my blog if I don't look a little vain... I think I need a few more pictures of myself.

I should probably post a picture of Cade too.. cause I love him n' stuff.

He really is the best.

We've been dating for about a year and a half, and just like every couple, we've had our ups and downs. But somehow, he loves me enough that we've gotten passed the rocky parts and even being separated. But here we are. Happy as two struggling twenty-somethings could be figuring this "life" thing out. Plus we have fun.

annnnnd that's basically my life. Work. Cade. And now, once again, this blog.
